New relationship aims to support the unique needs of Canada’s paediatric healthcare providers

announce last week in Ottawa a new relationship that will deliver more cost savings to paediatric healthcare providers, while also supporting the unique health needs of children and youth.

Identifying Best Practices and Future
Research Opportunities
Medbuy has entered into a 5-year strategic partnership with
CAPHC to provide funding for:
- Conducting an inventory of child and youth health networks
that are most likely to address key current and emerging
child and youth health needs, in particular, areas of national
priority
e.g. childhood obesity, injury prevention, patient safety
which includes the well-recognized problem of medication
errors;
- Creating an infrastructure across disciplines, health
care facilities/organizations and the continuum of care
that will enable national collaborative efforts in health
services and policy research, knowledge translation, practice
application/ implementation and evaluation;
- Collaborating on the development and evaluation of models
of practice with the goal of providing the most efficient,
cost effective and accessible systems for supporting the
health of children and youth, and;
- Collaborating in national strategies that develop and
sustain excellence in education and training, so that we
have a workforce that will address the health needs of children
and youth across the spectrum of promotion, prevention and
care.
