Governance & Strategic Directions
CAPHC-CPDSN Governance Model: 2011-2017
Due to the breadth envisioned for the CAPHC-CPDSN expansion, CAPHC-CPDSN has a new governance model as of September 2011. The organization is now governed by an Executive Steering Committee whose membership is made up of the secretariat of the CPDSN Full Steering Committee and a member at large. It meets regularly on a monthly basis and ad-hoc as needed.
The CPDSN Full Steering Committee is comprised of a representative from each of the member centres (academic paediatric health centres and community/regional hospitals). The Full Steering Committee meets quarterly and attends the CPDSN Annual Strategic Retreat held in conjunction with the Annual CAPHC Conference.
The Steering Committees are responsible for developing strategic priorities around national benchmarking initiatives and data quality improvement projects with a view of delivering high value and impact for the CAPHC-CPDSN membership. They collectively bring together their expertise, knowledge and vision to advance paediatric decision support in Canada.
